Inboxes contain external requests. An external request is a referral that originates outside of Novari eRequest. These requests may be electronic faxes, electronic referrals that may have been submitted through a Web form or from Ocean eReferral Network, or referrals that have been scanned and uploaded. Novari displays the reference number, Urgency (if indicated), Request date, etc. External Requests can be opened or processed. There can be many Inboxes depending on your organization’s needs.

If the external request needs to be processed, dismissed/rejected, or attached to an existing referral, users can select Process and are granted those options.
Cleared, Active, Dismissed referrals
Novari eRequest keeps track of external requests as they are processed, cleared, rejected, or dismissed. On the top left-hand side of the Inbox list view is a toggle for the state of the external requests, as well as a search feature. External requests can be searched depending on the information provided (faxed vs e-referral).
Modifying External Requests (Faxes)
When you open a faxed external request, you see a number of actions to modify the fax: moving it to another Inbox, cloning it, updating the urgency, removing or reordering pages, splitting the fax if it contains multiple requests or rotating pages. These features are used prior to the processing and creation of a referral.
