Novari ATC Main Page
Novari ATC is highly configurable, helping to ensure it meets the needs of the workflows at your site and the diverse members of your user community. As such, you may see differences from what is shown in this user manual. Configurations can be made for the site, each health center within the site, and each care venue within each health center.
Novari ATC also uses permissions to control what users see. For example, the image below shows all the Novari ATC modules. A site administrator would see all modules whereas a medical office assistant working in a surgeon’s office may see only Provider’s Office module, User Preferences module and possibly Reports module.
This user manual describes the generally available features. Not all these may be available at your site. Additionally, your site may have custom features that are not described here. For these, please refer to your client-specific documentation.
The Novari ATC Main page displays the main navigation menu, the modules the user has been given access to, the current version, and, optionally, a News and Events area.

Privacy Mode
Privacy enables a user to navigate Novari ATC without revealing patient or provider identities to others. For example, this is useful when opening a support ticket and wanting to capture an image. The privacy toggle is located on the Main page toolbar or by selecting Toggle Privacy on the module toolbar. Disabling privacy mode may require a reason to be selected. Your site may be configured to always have privacy toggled on by default, or always off by default. Speak to your site administrator if you have questions about this.
Identifying Privacy Mode
While in privacy mode, Novari ATC will substitute all patient demographics with a series of XX’s. In some instances, while in privacy mode, the application will block the user from performing actions. For example, attachments cannot be viewed while in privacy mode because they may contain personal health information.
Viewing Novari ATC Messages
Click on the message icon or Messages in the module toolbar to open the message summary page. The message icon flashes to indicate unread message(s).
The Message Summary Page
The message summary page is divided into three tabs: Unread Messages, Read Messages and Search Messages. The unread messages tab shows a listing of new messages. Once a message is marked as read, it moves to the Read Messages tab.
The messages can be system-generated or from other users. Messages relate to a specific case only. All messages are retained in the history of the case and display when a patient’s case is viewed. Unread messages appear in yellow. Read messages appear in grey.
Sort unread and read messages by clicking the column header(s). Click the column header a second time to sort in reverse order.
The Search Messages tab contains a filter to find a specific message. Select options to limit the list of results.
Sending a Message
You can send a message about a patient from any page where you are viewing the patient. For example, View Patient page in Provider’s Office, Care Venue Data Entry page in Care Venue, Case Management page in Pre-Surgical Screening, Patient Registration Details in Patient Registration.
To send a message, click the Send a Message link.
In Send a message, select External or Internal.
External are modules, such as Care Venue or Pre-Surgical Screening. You can send a message about a patient to a module that has the patient case. For example, if the patient has been sent to Care Venue, then you can select it as the recipient.
Internal are users who have permission to see this patient.
Enter your message and click Send.
