Scheduling a Case in Slate Mode

To book a patient in the Scheduler in Slate mode:

  • From Unbooked Patients, drag the patient to Requested Bookings. A popup appears with the mouse cursor, identifying the patient you are attempting to book.

  • Drop the patient on the Requested Booking list at the exact time you would like to begin the procedure.

You may schedule the case in any available slot; cases are not permitted to overlap.

Change the case order in Requested Bookings

You can change the order of cases in the Requested Bookings list. For example, you may want a patient with diabetes to be scheduled first.  

If the block has been submitted to the Care Venue module, these changes are sent automatically.

To change the case order of Requested Bookings in Slate mode:

  • Drag a case to any open and available space and the case will be scheduled to that timeslot.  

To swap two existing cases if there is enough time for each case in its new slot without overlapping other cases:

  • Drag an existing case to the exact start time of another existing case.

Remove a patient from Requested Bookings

To remove a patient from Requested Bookings:

  • Click the “X” in the upper right-hand corner of any case in the day calendar. The case will be removed, and the patient will return to Unbooked Patients.

  • If the block has been submitted to Care Venue, when you remove a case from the block you will be prompted to enter a reason for the removal.
