Unavailable Dates
You can add a series of dates for which a patient will be unavailable for surgery. The patient unavailability is shown both on the list view and the patient view. Patients cannot be booked for surgery during periods for which they are indicated as unavailable.
Depending on how your site is configured, patient unavailability may be used to adjust the days to target and days on the wait list displayed on the wait list.
You may set unavailability for the time to consult and the time to treat.
To add an unavailable date from View Patient:
Under Dates Affecting Readiness, select To Treat or To Consult.
Add/edit unavailable dates that affect a patient’s readiness for Treatment.
Add/edit unavailable dates that affect a patient’s readiness for Consult.
For unavailable dates affecting the patient’s readiness for treatment:
Select Fixed for a finite period of time.
Select Indefinite to place the patient on hold.
To add patient unavailability, select a start date and end date by entering the dates in manually or selecting the calendar icon (recommended) displayed beside each text box. You must enter a valid reason for the patient unavailability. Optionally, enter a comment regarding this unavailability (e.g., work, travel, etc.).
Click Add and the dialogue will update with the new date restrictions.
Click Done to save your changes and close the dialog.
To edit an unavailable date from the Case Details page:
Under Dates Affecting Readiness, select To Treat or To Consult.
In Edit Unavailability Date/Edit Unavailability Clinic Dates:
Click Edit to change an unavailable entry.
Click Update to save or Cancel to discard any changes.
