Provider’s Office Overview
The Provider’s Office module is generally used by the medical office assistants in a surgeon’s office to add and manage patients on the surgeon’s elective surgical waiting list. You can manage the wait list for one surgeon, multiple surgeons or a pool of surgeons.
Open the Provider’s Office module by clicking the icon once. You may be prompted to select a provider if you have been given permission to manage patients for more than one. If so, you can select one or multiple providers from the list by using the CTRL+click or SHIFT+click (CMD on a Mac). If you select more than one, you can manage the patients for the selected providers. If you select only one, you can manage the patients for just that one.
To enter Provider’s Office module in Pool mode (if your user account manages a pool of providers) simply click the icon for Provider’s Office and click continue without selecting a provider from the list
When you have finished selecting the provider or providers, select Continue.
If you do not see a list of providers, that means you have permission to manage the patients of only one provider and Novari ATC skips this step for you.
To select a different provider, return to the Main page and open the Provider’s Office module again.
Alternatively, if you are on the View List page, you can hover your mouse pointer over View List Actions and click Select Provider(s).

Tasks | ER Cases | Patients on the wait list who recently presented in the ER. Occasionally (rarely) while a patient is awaiting an elective surgery procedure, they will require an emergency surgical encounter. This page displays the emergency surgical procedure that was performed and asks you whether the elective surgery procedure is still required. In essence, did the patient’s medical condition that required the elective surgery escalate and require emergency surgery, or was the emergency unrelated to their wait list entry. | ||
Case Cancellations | Patients on the wait list who have been cancelled by the hospital and may need to be rescheduled | |||
Day of Surgery Cancellations | Patients on the wait list who have experienced a day of surgery cancellation and may need to be rescheduled | |||
Deceased Patients | Patients on the wait list for whom the system has detected a death in the hospital information system | |||

Wait 2 System Delay | This label is configurable so you may see Wait 2 System Delay or something else. "Wait 2 Systems Delays" are required by WTIS (Ontario only) for any case that has waited for surgery past their defined days (as predicated by their Wait 2 score) and minus any DART's (days affecting readiness to treat). If a patient has indicated they are unavailable for surgery for a time period, WTIS does not consider them to be actively waiting for surgery. | |||
Case Completions | Cases completed and removed from the wait list that need to be cleared | |||
