Transferring a Patient

Novari ATC incorporates a robust patient transfer system. Transfers can be directly initiated from the View List page or the View Patient page. To initiate a patient transfer, click the transfer symbol.

The first step in the transfer process is to specify whether the case is being added to a pool or transferred directly to another provider’s list. If the case is being added to a pool, the pool list can be filtered by health center. If the case is being transferred to a provider’s list, specify a Health Center, then a service within that Health Center, and finally a provider within that service.

Once you have specified the necessary information, a Pending Transfer Request is created. For the transfer to be completed, the Pending Transfer Request must be accepted by an authorized user with appropriate permissions. This could be a pool authority or the receiving provider’s office, depending on the type of transfer.

To view the currently pending transfer requests:

  • Select Transfers from the List menu of the Provider’s Office navigation menu.

This displays the Transfers page, where you see your outgoing and incoming transfer requests. You can accept or reject incoming transfer requests and cancel outgoing transfer requests. Once a transfer request has been accepted or rejected, the case no longer appears on this page.
